For an Australian, Great Britain takes some getting used to - the oldest European buildings here are only 200 years old. Some of theirs are thousands. It was amazing to stay in privately owned properties that date from the 15th century - here, they'd be owned by the National Trust. It's also a lot smaller than we're used to - in area it's about the same as Victoria, which is the second smallest Australian state.
